The largest figure is that of a woman from the 1820’s overly burdened with floor length skirts and high collared blouses. The other figures embody the women of today, free to vote, work outside of the home if they choose, and choose their own personal reproductive path. The pods and seeds represent all that has been accomplished to gain those equal rights. I show the other present day figures in dark hues to represent the shadow that still exists. There is still work to be done to gain true equality for women all over the world.
